National Anthem-- India--Notes

Our national anthem is composed based on
Shankarabharnam ragam. i.e., Major scale notes.
s r g m p d n' s'(ie , sa re2  ga2  ma1  pa  dha2  ni2  sa)
n. = ni2(base note)  [B]
s  = sa    [C]
r  = re2   [D]
g  = ga2   [E]
m  = ma1   [F]
p  = pa    [G]
d  = dha2  [A]
n' = ni2(high pitch)  [B]
s. = sa (high pitch)  [C]
And here '-' symbol represents continue of that note
eg: sa- means note sa is played for 2 talam.
Here in [ ] bracket corresponding western notes is

Revathy -ragam

arohanam   :- Sa Re1 Ma1 Pa Ni1 Sa
avarohanam :- Sa Ni1 Pa Ma1 Re1 Sa
the difference of this ragam with "madhyamavathy ragam" is , instead of Chathusruthi Reshabham(Re2) here we are using shudha Reshabham(Re1).
Malayalam film songs like..."Sree lathikakal taliraningulayave"(old malayalam) is composed based on this ragam........

Mayamalava gowla ragam

The notes of this ragam contains.....
arohan   : Sa  Re1  Ga2  Ma1  Pa  Dha1  Ni2  Sa
avarohan : Sa  Ni2  Dha1  Pa  Ma1  Ga2  Re1  Sa
i already mentioned that Re contains 2 notes, ie shudham and chathurshurty,which is represented as Re1 and Re2 respectively...
for  this  ragam  it  contains  Sa , Re 1 (i.e shudha reshabham), Ga2 , Ma1 ,Pa , Dha 1 , Ni2 , Sa.
When a song contains all these notes,or its roots lies in these notes then we can say that its based on this (Mayamalava Gowla ) ragam.

Ragams...Saptha Swaram !!

From Classical Musics point of view there are many Ragams.....based on these ragams we are tuning or composing a song.Its  very easy and good if we know about these ragams.
So here i will tell u about the different ragams,their notes etc.Basically it consists of 7 notes...ie Sa , Re , Ga ,Ma , Pa ,Dha ,Ni ....
this is one level or one pitch......like that we can sing songs in different pitches...like from low pitch to high pitch...or from high pitch to low pitch....or in high level or in low level itself....Singing is a kind of gift that we gets from GOD....so dont spoil it...know about these RAGAMS ...!!!
The above mentioned 7 notes expansions are,
Sa - Shadjam
Re - Reshabham
Ga - Ghandharam
Ma - Madhyamam
Pa - Panjhamam
Dha - Dhaivatham
Ni - Nishatham
The 7 notes that i told above is again splited or each note has its own high and low(little difference in sound) like..... "Re" may be either Sudha Reshabham and/or Chadhushruthy Reshabham (R1 and  R2 respectively) .Execpt for Sa and Pa , all other notes have its own classifications.i.e, 2 notes with small differenece in sthayi (in sound)
This is same for english notes also....
In engish Sa , Re ,Ga , Ma , Pa ,Dha ,Ni ....is corresponds to
C , D ,E , F ,G ,A , B respectively
And this small notes i mentioned above ie sudha Reshabham chathushruthy reshabham is representeed as '#' symbol...
eg: The note "D" in engilsh when comes in classical note its "Re" so its of 2 type sudham and chathusruthy...
here in english its represented as D , D# (D sharp).......D is shudha reshabham and D# is chathusruthy reshabham.
the Ni note in clasical also has 2 sub notes like....kaishiki neshatham and kakali nishatham....
"Ma" (madhyamam) has shudha madhyamam (Ma1) and prathi madhyamam (Ma2).
These all are the base of classical and english music....
