Harikamboji Raga



arohon: sa re2 ga3 ma1 pa dha2 ni2 sa
avarohan: sa ni2 dha2 pa ma1 ga3 re2 sa

Its 28 th Melakartha ragam......
tamil film song "nenjukul peithidum" from movie "Varanamayiram" is composed based on this raga.......
also some malayalam film songs....
like "karmukil varnante chundil" from film "Nandhanam".....
"varuvanillarum ee" from film "Manichithratazhu"...
"dore kizhakudikkum" from film "chithram"....

    Yes manoj...instead of Ma2 Ma3 is there....
    but i early mention that, here i will rep ragas based on 12 scale notes...not on 16 scale note...thats y...

    Anyway "Ma3" is the correct form, as in 16 scale note

    I read somewhere the raga of Oru vattom koodiyen from Chillu is the same as varuvanillarume. Does that mean that all these songs are set in the same raga?
